39:1 YO DIJE: Atenderé á mis caminos, Para no pecar con mi lengua: Guardaré mi boca con freno, En tanto que el impío fuere contra mí.

39:1 I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.

39:2 Enmudecí con silencio, calléme aun respecto de lo bueno: Y excitóse mi dolor.

39:2 I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred.

39:3 Enardecióse mi corazón dentro de mí; Encendióse fuego en mi meditación, Y así proferí con mi lengua:

39:3 My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spoke I with my tongue,

39:4 Hazme saber, Jehová, mi fin, Y cuánta sea la medida de mis días; Sepa yo cuánto tengo de ser del mundo.

39:4 LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am.

39:5 He aquí diste á mis días término corto, Y mi edad es como nada delante de ti: Ciertamente es completa vanidad todo hombre que vive. (Selah.)

39:5 Behold, you have made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before you: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah.

39:6 Ciertamente en tinieblas anda el hombre; Ciertamente en vano se inquieta: Junta, y no sabe quién lo allegará.

39:6 Surely every man walks in a vain show: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heaps up riches, and knows not who shall gather them.

39:7 Y ahora, Señor, ¿qué esperaré? Mi esperanza en ti está.

39:7 And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in you.

39:8 Líbrame de todas mis rebeliones; No me pongas por escarnio del insensato.

39:8 Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish.

39:9 Enmudecí, no abrí mi boca; Porque tú lo hiciste.

39:9 I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because you did it.

39:10 Quita de sobre mí tu plaga; De la guerra de tu mano soy consumido.

39:10 Remove your stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of yours hand.

39:11 Con castigos sobre el pecado corriges al hombre, Y haces consumirse como de polilla su grandeza: Ciertamente vanidad es todo hombre. (Selah.)

39:11 When you with rebukes do correct man for iniquity, you make his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah.

39:12 Oye mi oración, oh Jehová, y escucha mi clamor: No calles á mis lágrimas; Porque peregrino soy para contigo, Y advenedizo, como todos mis padres.

39:12 Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not your peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with you, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.

39:13 Déjame, y tomaré fuerzas, Antes que vaya y perezca.

39:13 O spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go behind, and be no more.

40:1 RESIGNADAMENTE esperé á Jehová, E inclinóse á mí, y oyó mi clamor.

40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

40:2 E hízome sacar de un lago de miseria, del lodo cenagoso; Y puso mis pies sobre peña, y enderezó mis pasos.

40:2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my activities.

40:3 Puso luego en mi boca canción nueva, alabanza á nuestro Dios. Verán esto muchos, y temerán, Y esperarán en Jehová.

40:3 And he has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

40:4 Bienaventurado el hombre que puso á Jehová por su confianza, Y no mira á los soberbios, ni á los que declinan á la mentira.

40:4 Blessed is that man that makes the LORD his trust, and respects not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

40:5 Aumentado has tú, oh Jehová Dios mío, tus maravillas; Y tus pensamientos para con nosotros, No te los podremos contar: Si yo anunciare y hablare de ellos, No pueden ser enarrados.

40:5 Many, O LORD my God, are your wonderful works which you have done, and your thoughts which are toward us: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto you: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

40:6 Sacrificio y presente no te agrada; Has abierto mis oídos; Holocausto y expiación no has demandado.

40:6 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire; mine ears have you opened: burnt offering and sin offering have you not required.

40:7 Entonces dije: He aquí, vengo; En el envoltorio del libro está escrito de mí:

40:7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,

40:8 El hacer tu voluntad, Dios mío, hame agradado; Y tu ley está en medio de mis entrañas.

40:8 I delight to do your will, O my God: yea, your law is within my heart.

40:9 Anunciado he justicia en grande congregación: He aquí no detuve mis labios, Jehová, tú lo sabes.

40:9 I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, you know.

40:10 No encubrí tu justicia dentro de mi corazón: Tu verdad y tu salvación he dicho: No oculté tu misericordia y tu verdad en grande concurso.

40:10 I have not hid your righteousness within my heart; I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation: I have not concealed your loving kindness and your truth from the great congregation.

40:11 Tú, Jehová, no apartes de mí tus misericordias: Tu misericordia y tu verdad me guarden siempre.

40:11 Withhold not you your tender mercies from me, O LORD: let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me.

40:12 Porque me han cercado males hasta no haber cuento: Hanme comprendido mis maldades, y no puedo levantar la vista: Hanse aumentado más que los cabellos de mi cabeza, y mi corazón me falta.

40:12 For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart fails me.

40:13 Quieras, oh Jehová, librarme; Jehová, apresúrate á socorrerme.

40:13 Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me.

40:14 Sean avergonzados y confusos á una Los que buscan mi vida para cortarla: Vuelvan atrás y avergüéncense Los que mi mal desean.

40:14 Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.

40:15 Sean asolados en pago de su afrenta Los que me dicen: ¡Ea, ea!

40:15 Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.

40:16 Gócense y alégrense en ti todos los que te buscan; Y digan siempre los que aman tu salud: Jehová sea ensalzado.

40:16 Let all those that seek you rejoice and be glad in you: let such as love your salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.

40:17 Aunque afligido yo y necesitado, Jehová pensará de mí: Mi ayuda y mi libertador eres tú; Dios mío, no te tardes.

40:17 But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinks upon me: you are my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.

41:1 BIENAVENTURADO el que piensa en el pobre: En el día malo lo librará Jehová.

41:1 Blessed is he that considers the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

41:2 Jehová lo guardé, y le dé vida: sea bienaventurado en la tierra, Y no lo entregues á la voluntad de sus enemigos.

41:2 The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and you will not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

41:3 Jehová lo sustentará sobre el lecho del dolor: Mullirás toda su cama en su enfermedad.

41:3 The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: you will make all his bed in his sickness.

41:4 Yo dije: Jehová, ten misericordia de mí; Sana mi alma, porque contra ti he pecado.

41:4 I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against you.

41:5 Mis enemigos dicen mal de mí preguntando: ¿Cuándo morirá, y perecerá su nombre?

41:5 Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?

41:6 Y si venía á ver me, hablaba mentira: Su corazón se amontonaba iniquidad; Y salido fuera, hablába la.

41:6 And if he comes to see me, he speaks vanity: his heart gathers iniquity to itself; when he goes abroad, he tells it.

41:7 Reunidos murmuraban contra mí todos los que me aborrecían: Contra mí pensaban mal, diciendo de mí:

41:7 All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.

41:8 Cosa pestilencial de él se ha apoderado; Y el que cayó en cama, no volverá á levantarse.

41:8 An evil disease, say they, cleaves fast unto him: and now that he lies he shall rise up no more.

41:9 Aun el hombre de mi paz, en quien yo confiaba, el que de mi pan comía, Alzó contra mí el calcañar.

41:9 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.

41:10 Mas tú, Jehová, ten misericordia de mí, y hazme levantar, Y daréles el pago.

41:10 But you, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.

41:11 En esto habré conocido que te he agradado, Que mi enemigo no se holgará de mí.

41:11 By this I know that you favour me, because mine enemy does not triumph over me.

41:12 En cuanto á mí, en mi integridad me has sustentado, Y me has hecho estar delante de ti para siempre.

41:12 And as for me, you uphold me in mine integrity, and set me before your face for ever.

41:13 Bendito sea Jehová, el Dios de Israel, Por siglos de siglos. Amén y Amén.

41:13 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.

42:1 COMO el ciervo brama por las corrientes de las aguas, Así clama por ti, oh Dios, el alma mía.

42:1 As the hart pants after the water brooks, so pants my soul after you, O God.

42:2 Mi alma tiene sed de Dios, del Dios vivo: ¡Cuándo vendré, y pareceré delante de Dios!

42:2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?

42:3 Fueron mis lágrimas mi pan de día y de noche, Mientras me dicen todos los días: ¿Dónde está tu Dios?

42:3 My tears have been my food day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is your God?

42:4 Acordaréme de estas cosas, y derramaré sobre mí mi alma: Cuando pasaré en el número, iré con ellos hasta la casa de Dios, Con voz de alegría y de alabanza, haciendo fiesta la multitud.

42:4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.

42:5 ¿Por qué te abates, oh alma mía, Y te conturbas en mí? Espera á Dios; porque aun le tengo de alabar Por las saludes de su presencia.

42:5 Why are you cast down, O my soul? and why are you disquieted in me? hope you in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.

42:6 Dios mío, mi alma está en mí abatida: Acordaréme por tanto de ti desde tierra del Jordán, Y de los Hermonitas, desde el monte de Mizhar.

42:6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember you from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.

42:7 Un abismo llama á otro á la voz de tus canales: Todas tus ondas y tus olas han pasado sobre mí.

42:7 Deep calls unto deep at the noise of your waterspouts: all your waves and your billows are gone over me.

42:8 De día mandará Jehová su misericordia, Y de noche su canción será conmigo, Y oración al Dios de mi vida.

42:8 Yet the LORD will command his loving kindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.

42:9 Diré á Dios: Roca mía, ¿por qué te has olvidado de mí? ¿Por qué andaré yo enlutado por la opresión del enemigo?

42:9 I will say unto God my rock, Why have you forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

42:10 Mientras se están quebrantando mis huesos, mis enemigos me afrentan, Diciéndome cada día: ¿Dónde está tu Dios?

42:10 As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is your God?

42:11 ¿Por qué te abates, oh alma mía, Y por qué te conturbas en mí? Espera á Dios; porque aun le tengo de alabar; Es él salvamento delante de mí, y el Dios mío.

42:11 Why are you cast down, O my soul? and why are you disquieted within me? hope you in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

43:1 JUZGAME, oh Dios, y aboga mi causa: Líbrame de gente impía, del hombre de engaño é iniquidad.

43:1 Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

43:2 Pues que tú eres el Dios de mi fortaleza, ¿por qué me has desechado? ¿Por qué andaré enlutado por la opresión del enemigo?

43:2 For you are the God of my strength: why do you cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

43:3 Envía tu luz y tu verdad: éstas me guiarán, Me conducirán al monte de tu santidad, Y á tus tabernáculos.

43:3 O send out your light and your truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto your holy hill, and to your tabernacles.

43:4 Y entraré al altar de Dios, Al Dios alegría de mi gozo; Y alabaréte con arpa, oh Dios, Dios mío.

43:4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise you, O God my God.

43:5 ¿Por qué te abates, oh alma mía, Y por qué te conturbes en mí? Espera á Dios; porque aun le tengo de alabar; Es él salvamento delante de mí, y el Dios mío.

43:5 Why are you cast down, O my soul? and why are you disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

44:1 OH Dios, con nuestros oídos hemos oído, nuestros padres nos han contado, La obra que hiciste en sus días, en los tiempos antiguos.

44:1 We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work you did in their days, in the times of old.

44:2 Tú con tu mano echaste las gentes, y los plantaste á ellos; Afligiste los pueblos, y los arrojaste.

44:2 How you did drive out the heathen with your hand, and planted them; how you did afflict the people, and cast them out.

44:3 Porque no se apoderaron de la tierra por su espada, Ni su brazo los libró; Sino tu diestra, y tu brazo, y la luz de tu rostro, Porque te complaciste en ellos.

44:3 For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but your right hand, and yours arm, and the light of your countenance, because you had a favour unto them.

44:4 Tú, oh Dios, eres mi rey: Manda saludes á Jacob.

44:4 You are my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob.

44:5 Por medio de ti sacudiremos á nuestros enemigos: En tu nombre atropellaremos á nuestros adversarios.

44:5 Through you will we push down our enemies: through your name will we tread them under that rise up against us.

44:6 Porque no confiaré en mi arco, Ni mi espada me salvará.

44:6 For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.

44:7 Pues tú nos has guardado de nuestros enemigos, Y has avergonzado á los que nos aborrecían.

44:7 But you have saved us from our enemies, and have put them to shame that hated us.

44:8 En Dios nos gloriaremos todo tiempo, Y para siempre loaremos tu nombre. (Selah.)

44:8 In God we boast all the day long, and praise your name for ever. Selah.

44:9 Empero nos has desechado, y nos has hecho avergonzar; Y no sales en nuestros ejércitos.

44:9 But you have cast off, and put us to shame; and go not forth with our armies.

44:10 Nos hiciste retroceder del enemigo, Y saqueáron nos para sí los que nos aborrecían.

44:10 You make us to turn back from the enemy: and they which hate us spoil for themselves.

44:11 Pusístenos como á ovejas para comida, Y esparcístenos entre las gentes.

44:11 You have given us like sheep appointed for food; and have scattered us among the heathen.

44:12 Has vendido tu pueblo de balde, Y no pujaste en sus precios.

44:12 You sell your people for nothing, and do not increase your wealth by their price.

44:13 Pusístenos por vergüenza á nuestros vecinos, Por escarnio y por burla á los que nos rodean.

44:13 You make us a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us.

44:14 Pusístenos por proverbio entre las gentes, Por movimiento de cabeza en los pueblos.

44:14 You make us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people.

44:15 Cada día mi vergüenza está delante de mí, Y cúbreme la confusión de mi rostro,

44:15 My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face has covered me,

44:16 Por la voz del que me vitupera y deshonra, Por razón del enemigo y del que se venga.

44:16 For the voice of him that reproaches and blasphemes; by reason of the enemy and avenger.

44:17 Todo esto nos ha venido, y no nos hemos olvidado de ti; Y no hemos faltado á tu pacto.

44:17 All this has come upon us; yet have we not forgotten you, neither have we dealt falsely in your covenant.

44:18 No se ha vuelto atrás nuestro corazón, Ni tampoco se han apartado nuestros pasos de tus caminos.

44:18 Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from your way;

44:19 Cuando nos quebrantaste en el lugar de los dragones, Y nos cubriste con sombra de muerte,

44:19 Though you have sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death.

44:20 Si nos hubiésemos olvidado del nombre de nuestro Dios, O alzado nuestras manos á dios ajeno,

44:20 If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god;

44:21 ¿No demandaría Dios esto? Porque él conoce los secretos del corazón.

44:21 Shall not God search this out? for he knows the secrets of the heart.

44:22 Empero por tu causa nos matan cada día; Somos tenidos como ovejas para el matadero.

44:22 Yea, for your sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.

44:23 Despierta; ¿por qué duermes, Señor? Despierta, no te alejes para siempre.

44:23 Awake, why sleep you, O Lord? arise, cast us not off for ever.

44:24 ¿Por qué escondes tu rostro, Y te olvidas de nuestra aflicción, y de la opresión nuestra?

44:24 Wherefore hide you your face, and forget our affliction and our oppression?

44:25 Porque nuestra alma está agobiada hasta el polvo: Nuestro vientre está pegado con la tierra.

44:25 For our soul is bowed down to the dust: our belly cleaves unto the earth.

44:26 Levántate para ayudarnos, Y redímenos por tu misericordia.

44:26 Arise for our help, and redeem us for your mercies' sake.

45:1 Canción de amores. REBOSA mi corazón palabra buena: Refiero yo al Rey mis obras: Mi lengua es pluma de escribiente muy ligero.

45:1 My heart is composing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made concerning the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

45:2 Haste hermoseado más que los hijos de los hombres; La gracia se derramó en tus labios: Por tanto Dios te ha bendecido para siempre.

45:2 You are fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into your lips: therefore God has blessed you for ever.

45:3 Cíñete tu espada sobre el muslo, oh valiente, Con tu gloria y con tu majestad.

45:3 Gird your sword upon your thigh, O most mighty, with your glory and your majesty.

45:4 Y en tu gloria sé prosperado: Cabalga sobre palabra de verdad, y de humildad, y de justicia; Y tu diestra te enseñará cosas terribles.

45:4 And in your majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and your right hand shall teach you terrible things.

45:5 Tus saetas agudas Con que caerán pueblos debajo de ti, Penetrarán en el corazón de los enemigos del Rey.

45:5 Yours arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under you.

45:6 Tu trono, oh Dios, eterno y para siempre: Vara de justicia la vara de tu reino.

45:6 Your throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of your kingdom is a right sceptre.

45:7 Amaste la justicia y aborreciste la maldad: Por tanto te ungió Dios, el Dios tuyo, Con óleo de gozo sobre tus compañeros.

45:7 You love righteousness, and hate wickedness: therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.

45:8 Mirra, áloe, y casia exhalan todos tus vestidos: En estancias de marfil te han recreado.

45:8 All your garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made you glad.

45:9 Hijas de reyes entre tus ilustres: Está la reina á tu diestra con oro de Ophir.

45:9 Kings' daughters were among your honourable women: upon your right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.

45:10 Oye, hija, y mira, é inclina tu oído; Y olvida tu pueblo, y la casa de tu padre;

45:10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline yours ear; forget also yours own people, and your father's house;

45:11 Y deseará el rey tu hermosura: E inclínate á él, porque él es tu Señor.

45:11 So shall the king greatly desire your beauty: for he is your Lord; and worship you him.

45:12 Y las hijas de Tiro vendrán con presente; Implorarán tu favor los ricos del pueblo.

45:12 And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall implore your favour.

45:13 Toda ilustre es de dentro la hija del rey: De brocado de oro es su vestido.

45:13 The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.

45:14 Con vestidos bordados será llevada al rey; Vírgenes en pos de ella: Sus compañeras serán traídas á ti.

45:14 She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto you.

45:15 Serán traídas con alegría y gozo: Entrarán en el palacio del rey.

45:15 With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace.

45:16 En lugar de tus padres serán tus hijos, A quienes harás príncipes en toda la tierra.

45:16 Instead of your fathers shall be your children, whom you may make princes in all the earth.

45:17 Haré perpetua la memoria de tu nombre en todas las generaciones: Por lo cual te alabarán los pueblos eternamente y para siempre.

45:17 I will make your name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise you for ever and ever.

46:1 DIOS es nuestro amparo y fortaleza, Nuestro pronto auxilio en las tribulaciones.

46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

46:2 Por tanto no temeremos aunque la tierra sea removida; Aunque se traspasen los montes al corazón de la mar.

46:2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

46:3 Bramarán, turbaránse sus aguas; Temblarán los montes á causa de su braveza. (Selah.)

46:3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

46:4 Del río sus conductos alegrarán la ciudad de Dios, El santuario de las tiendas del Altísimo.

46:4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

46:5 Dios está en medio de ella; no será conmovida: Dios la ayudará al clarear la mañana.

46:5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

46:6 Bramaron las gentes, titubearon los reinos; Dió él su voz, derritióse la tierra.

46:6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

46:7 Jehová de los ejércitos es con nosotros; Nuestro refugio es el Dios de Jacob. (Selah.)

46:7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

46:8 Venid, ved las obras de Jehová, Que ha puesto asolamientos en la tierra.

46:8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he has made in the earth.

46:9 Que hace cesar las guerras hasta los fines de la tierra: Que quiebra el arco, corta la lanza, Y quema los carros en el fuego.

46:9 He makes wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaks the bow, and cuts the spear in two; he burns the chariot in the fire.

48:2 Hermosa provincia, el gozo de toda la tierra Es el monte de Sión, á los lados del aquilón, La ciudad del gran Rey.

48:2 Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

48:3 Dios en sus palacios es conocido por refugio.

48:3 God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

49:8 (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceases for ever:)

49:9 That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption.

49:10 Pues se ve que mueren los sabios, Así como el insensato y el necio perecen, Y dejan á otros sus riquezas.

49:10 For he sees that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others.

49:11 En su interior tienen que sus casas serán eternas, Y sus habitaciones para generación y generación: Llamaron sus tierras de sus nombres.

49:11 Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.

50:2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shined.

50:3 Vendrá nuestro Dios, y no callará: Fuego consumirá delante de él, Y en derredor suyo habrá tempestad grande.

50:3 Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.

50:4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.

50:16 But unto the wicked God says, What have you to do to declare my statutes, or that you should take my covenant in your mouth?

50:17 Seeing you hate instruction, and casts my words behind you.

50:18 Si veías al ladrón, tú corrías con él; Y con los adúlteros era tu parte.

50:18 When you saw a thief, then you consented with him, and have been partaker with adulterers.

50:19 You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue frames deceit.

50:20 You sit and speak against your brother; you slander yours own mother's son.

50:21 These things have you done, and I kept silence; you thought that I was altogether such an one as yourself: but I will reprove you, and set them in order before yours eyes.

50:22 Now consider this, all of you that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

50:23 Whoso offers praise glorifies me: and to him that orders his conversation aright will I show the salvation of God.

52:8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

52:9 I will praise you for ever, because you have done it: and I will wait on your name; for it is good before your saints.

53:1 The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that does good.

53:2 Dios desde los cielos miró sobre los hijos de los hombres, Por ver si hay algún entendido Que busque á Dios.

53:2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.

53:3 Cada uno se había vuelto atrás; todos se habían corrompido: No hay quien haga bien, no hay ni aun uno.

53:3 Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that does good, no, not one.

53:4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.

53:5 Allí se sobresaltaron de pavor donde no había miedo: Porque Dios ha esparcido los huesos del que asentó campo contra ti: Los avergonzaste, porque Dios los desechó.

53:5 There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God has scattered the bones of him that camps against you: you have put them to shame, because God has despised them.

53:6 Oh quién diese de Sión saludes á Israel! En volviendo Dios la cautividad de su pueblo, Gozarse ha Jacob, y alegraráse Israel.

53:6 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God brings back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

55:17 Tarde y mañana y á medio día oraré y clamaré; Y él oirá mi voz.

55:17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

55:18 El ha redimido en paz mi alma de la guerra contra mí; Pues fueron contra mí muchos.

55:18 He has delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.

55:19 Dios oirá, y los quebrantará luego, El que desde la antigüedad permanece (Selah); Por cuanto no se mudan, Ni temen á Dios.

55:19 God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abides of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.

55:20 Extendió sus manos contra sus pacíficos: Viólo su pacto.

55:20 He has put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he has broken his covenant.

55:21 Ablandan más que manteca su boca, Pero guerra hay en su corazón: Suavizan sus palabras más que el aceite, Mas ellas son cuchillos.

55:21 The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.

55:22 Cast your burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain you: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

55:23 But you, O God, shall bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in you.

59:7 Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, does hear?

59:8 But you, O LORD, shall laugh at them; you shall have all the heathen in derision.

64:5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privately; they say, Who shall see them?

64:6 Inquieren iniquidades, hacen una investigación exacta; Y el íntimo pensamiento de cada uno de ellos, así como el corazón, es profundo.

64:6 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.

64:7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.

64:8 So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.

65:6 Which by his strength sets fast the mountains; being girded with power:

65:7 El que amansa el estruendo de los mares, el estruendo de sus ondas, Y el alboroto de las gentes.

65:7 Which stills the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.

65:8 Por tanto los habitadores de los fines de la tierra temen de tus maravillas. Tú haces alegrar las salidas de la mañana y de la tarde.

65:8 They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at your tokens: you make the utmost limit of the morning and evening to rejoice.

65:9 Visitas la tierra, y la riegas: En gran manera la enriqueces Con el río de Dios, lleno de aguas: Preparas el grano de ellos, cuando así la dispones.

65:9 You visit the earth, and water it: you greatly enrich it with the river of God, which is full of water: you prepare them corn, when you have so provided for it.

65:10 Haces se empapen sus surcos, Haces descender sus canales: Ablándasla con lluvias, Bendices sus renuevos.

65:10 You water the ridges thereof abundantly: you settle the furrows thereof: you make it soft with showers: you bless the springing thereof.

65:11 Tú coronas el año de tus bienes; Y tus nubes destilan grosura.

65:11 You crown the year with your goodness; and your paths drop fatness.

65:12 Destilan sobre las estancias del desierto; Y los collados se ciñen de alegría.

65:12 They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.

68:16 ¿Por qué os levantáis, oh montes altos? Este monte amó Dios para su asiento; Ciertamente Jehová habitará en él para siempre.

68:16 Why leap all of you, all of you high hills? this is the hill which God desires to dwell in; yea, the LORD will dwell in it for ever.

68:17 Los carros de Dios son veinte mil, y más millares de ángeles. El Señor entre ellos, como en Sinaí, así en el santuario.

68:17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.

69:14 Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.

69:15 Let not the flood of waters overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.

69:16 Hear me, O LORD; for your loving kindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of your tender mercies.

69:22 Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.

69:23 Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.

69:32 The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.

71:12 Oh Dios, no te alejes de mí: Dios mío, acude presto á mi socorro.

71:12 O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.

71:13 Sean avergonzados, fallezcan los adversarios de mi alma; Sean cubiertos de vergüenza y de confusión los que mi mal buscan.

71:13 Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.

71:14 Mas yo siempre esperaré, Y añadiré sobre toda tu alabanza.

71:14 But I will hope continually, and will yet praise you more and more.

71:15 Mi boca publicará tu justicia Y tu salud todo el día, Aunque no sé el número de ellas.

71:15 My mouth shall show forth your righteousness and your salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof.

71:16 Vendré á las valentías del Señor Jehová: Haré memoria de sola tu justicia.

71:16 I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of your righteousness, even of yours only.

71:17 Oh Dios, enseñásteme desde mi mocedad; Y hasta ahora he manifestado tus maravillas.

71:17 O God, you have taught me from my youth: and until now have I declared your wondrous works.

71:18 Y aun hasta la vejez y las canas; oh Dios, no me desampares, Hasta que denuncie tu brazo á la posteridad, Tus valentías á todos los que han de venir.

71:18 Now also when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have showed your strength unto this generation, and your power to every one that is to come.

71:19 Y tu justicia, oh Dios, hasta lo excelso; Porque has hecho grandes cosas: Oh Dios, ¿quién como tú?

71:19 Your righteousness also, O God, is very high, who have done great things: O God, who is like unto you!

71:20 Tú, que me has hecho ver muchas angustias y males, Volverás á darme vida, Y de nuevo me levantarás de los abismos de la tierra.

71:20 You, which have showed me great and sore troubles, shall restore life in me again, and shall bring me up again from the depths of the earth.

71:21 Aumentarás mi grandeza, Y volverás á consolarme.

71:21 You shall increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.

71:22 Asimismo yo te alabaré con instrumento de salterio, Oh Dios mío: tu verdad cantaré yo á ti en el arpa, Oh Santo de Israel.

71:22 I will also praise you with the psaltery, even your truth, O my God: unto you will I sing with the harp, O you Holy One of Israel.

71:23 Mis labios cantarán cuando á ti salmeare, Y mi alma, á la cual redimiste.

71:23 My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto you; and my soul, which you have redeemed.

71:24 Mi lengua hablará también de tu justicia todo el día: Por cuanto fueron avergonzados, porque fueron confusos los que mi mal procuraban.

71:24 My tongue also shall talk of your righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.

72:1 OH Dios, da tus juicios al rey, Y tu justicia al hijo del rey.

72:1 Give the king your judgments, O God, and your righteousness unto the king's son.

72:2 El juzgará tu pueblo con justicia, Y tus afligidos con juicio.

72:2 He shall judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with judgment.

72:3 Los montes llevarán paz al pueblo, Y los collados justicia.

72:3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.

72:4 Juzgará los afligidos del pueblo, Salvará los hijos del menesteroso, Y quebrantará al violento.

72:4 He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.

72:5 Temerte han mientras duren el sol Y la luna, por generación de generaciones.

72:5 They shall fear you as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.

72:6 Descenderá como la lluvia sobre la hierba cortada; Como el rocío que destila sobre la tierra.

72:6 He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.

72:7 Florecerá en sus día justicia, Y muchedumbre de paz, hasta que no haya luna.

72:7 In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endures.

72:8 Y dominará de mar á mar, Y desde el río hasta los cabos de la tierra.

72:8 He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.

72:9 Delante de él se postrarán los Etiopes; Y sus enemigos lamerán la tierra.

72:9 They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.

72:10 Los reyes de Tharsis y de las islas traerán presentes: Los reyes de Sheba y de Seba ofrecerán dones.

72:10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

72:11 Y arrodillarse han á él todos los reyes; Le servirán todas las gentes.

72:11 Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.

72:12 Porque él librará al menesteroso que clamare, Y al afligido que no tuviere quien le socorra.

72:12 For he shall deliver the needy when he cries; the poor also, and him that has no helper.

72:13 Tendrá misericordia del pobre y del menesteroso, Y salvará las almas de los pobres.

72:13 He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.

72:14 De engaño y de violencia redimirá sus almas: Y la sangre de ellos será preciosa en sus ojos.

72:14 He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.

72:15 Y vivirá, y darásele del oro de Seba; Y oraráse por él continuamente; Todo el día se le bendecirá.

72:15 And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.

72:16 Será echado un puño de grano en tierra, en las cumbres de los montes; Su fruto hará ruido como el Líbano, Y los de la ciudad florecerán como la hierba de la tierra.

72:16 There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.

72:17 Será su nombre para siempre, Perpetuaráse su nombre mientras el sol dure: Y benditas serán en él todas las gentes: Llamarlo han bienaventurado.

72:17 His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.

72:18 Bendito Jehová Dios, el Dios de Israel, Que solo hace maravillas.

72:18 Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only does wondrous things.

72:19 Y bendito su nombre glorioso para siempre: Y toda la tierra sea llena de su gloria. Amén y Amén.

72:19 And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

73:1 CIERTAMENTE bueno es Dios á Israel, A los limpios de corazón.

73:1 Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.

73:2 Mas yo, casi se deslizaron mis pies; Por poco resbalaron mis pasos.

73:2 But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.

73:3 Porque tuve envidia de los insensatos, Viendo la prosperidad de los impíos.

73:3 For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

73:4 Porque no hay ataduras para su muerte; Antes su fortaleza está entera.

73:4 For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.

73:5 No están ellos en el trabajo humano; Ni son azotados con los otros hombres.

73:5 They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.

73:6 Por tanto soberbia los corona: Cúbrense de vestido de violencia.

73:6 Therefore pride compasses them about as a chain; violence covers them as a garment.

73:7 Sus ojos están salidos de gruesos: Logran con creces los antojos del corazón.

73:7 Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.

73:8 Soltáronse, y hablan con maldad de hacer violencia; Hablan con altanería.

73:8 They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.

73:9 Ponen en el cielo su boca, Y su lengua pasea la tierra.

73:9 They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walks through the earth.

73:10 Por eso su pueblo vuelve aquí, Y aguas de lleno le son exprimidas.

73:10 Therefore his people return here: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.

73:11 Y dicen: ¿Cómo sabe Dios? ¿Y hay conocimiento en lo alto?

73:11 And they say, How does God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?

73:12 He aquí estos impíos, Sin ser turbados del mundo, alcanzaron riquezas.

73:12 Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.

73:13 Verdaderamente en vano he limpiado mi corazón, Y lavado mis manos en inocencia;

73:13 Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocence.

73:14 Pues he sido azotado todo el día, Y empezaba mi castigo por las mañanas.

73:14 For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.

73:15 Si dijera yo, Discurriré de esa suerte; He aquí habría negado la nación de tus hijos:

73:15 If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of your children.

73:16 Pensaré pues para saber esto: Es á mis ojos duro trabajo,

73:16 When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;

73:17 Hasta que venido al santuario de Dios, Entenderé la postrimería de ellos.

73:17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.

73:18 Ciertamente los has puesto en deslizaderos; En asolamientos los harás caer.

73:18 Surely you did set them in slippery places: you casted them down into destruction.

73:19 Cómo han sido asolados! ¡cuán en un punto! Acabáronse, fenecieron con turbaciones.

73:19 How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.

73:20 Como sueño del que despierta, Así, Señor, cuando despertares, menospreciarás sus apariencias.

73:20 As a dream when one awakes; so, O Lord, when you awake, you shall despise their image.

73:21 Desazonóse á la verdad mi corazón, Y en mis riñones sentía punzadas.

73:21 Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.

73:22 Mas yo era ignorante, y no entendía: Era como una bestia acerca de ti.

73:22 So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before you.

73:23 Con todo, yo siempre estuve contigo: Trabaste de mi mano derecha.

73:23 Nevertheless I am continually with you: you have held me by my right hand.

73:24 Hasme guiado según tu consejo, Y después me recibirás en gloria.

73:24 You shall guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

73:25 ¿A quién tengo yo en los cielos? Y fuera de ti nada deseo en la tierra.

73:25 Whom have I in heaven but you? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside you.

73:26 Mi carne y mi corazón desfallecen: Mas la roca de mi corazón y mi porción es Dios para siempre.

73:26 My flesh and my heart fails: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

73:27 Porque he aquí, los que se alejan de ti perecerán: Tú cortarás á todo aquel que fornicando, de ti se aparta.

73:27 For, lo, they that are far from you shall perish: you have destroyed all them that go a whoring from you.

73:28 Y en cuanto á mí, el acercarme á Dios es el bien: He puesto en el Señor Jehová mi esperanza, Para contar todas tus obras.

73:28 But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all your works.

74:1 ¿POR qué, oh Dios, nos has desechado para siempre? ¿Por qué ha humeado tu furor contra las ovejas de tu dehesa?

74:1 O God, why have you cast us off for ever? why does yours anger smoke against the sheep of your pasture?

74:2 Acuérdate de tu congregación, que adquiriste de antiguo, Cuando redimiste la vara de tu heredad; Este monte de Sión, donde has habitado.

74:2 Remember your congregation, which you have purchased of old; the rod of yours inheritance, which you have redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein you have dwelt.

74:3 Levanta tus pies á los asolamientos eternos: A todo enemigo que ha hecho mal en el santuario.

74:3 Lift up your feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy has done wickedly in the sanctuary.

74:4 Tus enemigos han bramado en medio de tus sinagogas: Han puesto sus divisas por señas.

74:4 Yours enemies roar in the midst of your congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs.

74:5 Cualquiera se hacía famoso según que había levantado El hacha sobre los gruesos maderos.

74:5 A man was famous according as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees.

74:6 Y ahora con hachas y martillos Han quebrado todas sus entalladuras.

74:6 But now they break down the carved work thereof at once with axes and hammers.

74:7 Han puesto á fuego tus santuarios, Han profanado el tabernáculo de tu nombre echándolo á tierra.

74:7 They have cast fire into your sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of your name to the ground.

74:8 Dijeron en su corazón: Destruyámoslos de una vez; Han quemado todas las sinagogas de Dios en el tierra.

74:8 They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land.

74:9 No vemos ya nuestras señales: No hay más profeta; Ni con nosotros hay quien sepa hasta cuándo.

74:9 We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knows how long.

74:10 ¿Hasta cuándo, oh Dios, el angustiador nos afrentará? ¿Ha de blasfemar el enemigo perpetuamente tu nombre?

74:10 O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme your name for ever?

74:11 ¿Por qué retraes tu mano, y tu diestra? ¿Por qué la escondes dentro de tu seno?

74:11 Why withdraw you your hand, even your right hand? pluck it out of your bosom.

74:12 Empero Dios es mi rey ya de antiguo; El que obra saludes en medio de la tierra.

74:12 For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.

74:13 Tú hendiste la mar con tu fortaleza: Quebrantaste cabezas de ballenas en las aguas.

74:13 You did divide the sea by your strength: you brake the heads of the dragons in the waters.

74:14 Tú magullaste las cabezas del leviathán; Dístelo por comida al pueblo de los desiertos.

74:14 You brake the heads of leviathan (p. sea serpent) in pieces, and gave him to be food to the people inhabiting the wilderness.

74:15 Tú abriste fuente y río; Tú secaste ríos impetuosos.

74:15 You did cleave the fountain and the flood: you dried up mighty rivers.

74:16 Tuyo es el día, tuya también es la noche: Tú aparejaste la luna y el sol.

74:16 The day is yours, the night also is yours: you have prepared the light and the sun.

74:17 Tú estableciste todos los términos de la tierra: El verano y el invierno tú los formaste.

74:17 You have set all the borders of the earth: you have made summer and winter.

74:18 Acuerdáte de esto: que el enemigo ha dicho afrentas á Jehová, Y que el pueblo insensato ha blasfemado tu nombre.

74:18 Remember this, that the enemy has reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed your name.

74:19 No entregues á las bestias el alma de tu tórtola: Y no olvides para siempre la congregación de tus afligidos.

74:19 O deliver not the soul of your turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of your poor for ever.

74:20 Mira al pacto: Porque las tenebrosidades de la tierra llenas están de habitaciones de violencia.

74:20 Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.

74:21 No vuelva avergonzado el abatido: El afligido y el menesteroso alabarán tu nombre.

74:21 O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor and needy praise your name.

74:22 Levántate, oh Dios, aboga tu causa: Acuérdate de cómo el insensato te injuria cada día.

74:22 Arise, O God, plead yours own cause: remember how the foolish man reproaches you daily.

74:23 No olvides las voces de tus enemigos: El alboroto de los que se levantan contra ti sube continuamente.

74:23 Forget not the voice of yours enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against you increases continually.

75:1 ALABARÉMOSTE, oh Dios, alabaremos; Que cercano está tu nombre: Cuenten tus maravillas.

75:1 Unto you, O God, do we give thanks, unto you do we give thanks: for that your name is near your wondrous works declare.

75:2 Cuando yo tuviere tiempo, Yo juzgaré rectamente.

75:2 When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.

75:3 Arruinábase la tierra y sus moradores: Yo sostengo sus columnas. (Selah.)

75:3 The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.

75:4 Dije á los insensatos: No os infatuéis; Y á los impíos: No levantéis el cuerno:

75:4 I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

75:5 No levantéis en alto vuestro cuerno; No habléis con cerviz erguida.

75:5 Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.

75:6 Porque ni de oriente, ni de occidente, Ni del desierto viene el ensalzamiento.

75:6 For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.

75:7 Mas Dios es el juez: A éste abate, y á aquel ensalza.

75:7 But God is the judge: he puts down one, and sets up another.

75:8 Porque el cáliz está en la mano de Jehová, y el vino es tinto, Lleno de mistura; y él derrama del mismo: Ciertamente sus heces chuparán y beberán todos los impíos de la tierra.

75:8 For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he pours out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.

75:9 Mas yo anunciaré siempre, Cantaré alabanzas al Dios de Jacob.

75:9 But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

75:10 Y quebraré todos los cuernos de los pecadores: Los cuernos del justo serán ensalzados.

75:10 All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.

76:2 In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.

76:3 Allí quebró las saetas del arco, El escudo, y la espada, y tren de guerra. (Selah.)

76:3 There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.

76:4 Ilustre eres tú; fuerte, más que los montes de caza.

76:4 You are more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.

76:5 Los fuertes de corazón fueron despojados, durmieron su sueño; Y nada hallaron en sus manos todos los varones fuertes.

76:5 The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.

76:6 A tu reprensión, oh Dios de Jacob, El carro y el caballo fueron entorpecidos.

76:6 At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

76:7 Tú, terrible eres tú: ¿Y quién parará delante de ti, en comenzando tu ira?

76:7 You, even you, are to be feared: and who may stand in your sight when once you are angry?

76:8 Desde los cielos hiciste oir juicio; La tierra tuvo temor y quedó suspensa,

76:8 You did cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,

76:9 Cuando te levantaste, oh Dios, al juicio, Para salvar á todos los mansos de la tierra. (Selah.)

76:9 When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

76:10 Ciertamente la ira del hombre te acarreará alabanza: Tú reprimirás el resto de las iras.

76:10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise you: the remainder of wrath shall you restrain.

76:11 Prometed, y pagad á Jehová vuestro Dios: Todos los que están alrededor de él, traigan presentes al Terrible.

76:11 Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.

76:12 Cortará él el espíritu de los príncipes: Terrible es á los reyes de la tierra.

76:12 He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.
